Dr. Sarah Ness

Founder of Arts in Health Institute

Sarah Ness, PhD is a passionate advocate for the healing power of the arts. She believes that creative practices are the building blocks for nervous system regulation and, in turn, essential in the treatment of stress, trauma, and burnout. Dr. Ness has worked in the fields of expressive arts therapy, mind body medicine, and arts in health for over 15 years. She has extensive experience working with trauma survivors, children and families in crisis, and patients struggling with chronic and acute illness. Dr. Ness founded the Arts in Health Institute to teach others how to use the power of the arts for personal health and professional practice.
